On April 24th, Biovista was happy to participate at the NEWROAD final meeting (www.new-road.eu), hosted by the University of Salerno. At the end of this successful project we are pleased to confirm that our original vision, in view of developments in the healthcare field and the impact of AI on scientific R&D, is today more relevant than ever. We believe and will continue working in three main areas:
- Augmented Intelligence: it is increasingly obvious that any AI effort must continue to keep human experts in the loop and support them in maximizing the potential benefits from its use.
- Collaborative environments: Artificial General Intelligence (AGI) and Artificial Supper Intelligence (ASI) sound promising, but for complex problems (multi-factor diseases, side effect minimization etc) supporting human expert collaboration will be key. The work we carried out at NEWROAD has already put Biovista firmly on this path and we will continue adding capabilities that support collaboration in our Biovista Vizit environment.
- Agentic AI: Access to software agents significantly expands the capabilities of AI, but these agents need not only be software based. Increasingly, access to novel intelligent instrumentation that can be seamlessly integrated with core AI environments will allow scientists to explore hard problems more effectively.
